About me

Hello, I'm Jana.

I’m studying applied law and have been working in local government in Switzerland for several years. What convinced me of the value of New in Switzerland wasn’t some idea I came up with at my desk – but my day-to-day experience at the counter.

Time and again, people would sit in front of me with a pile of documents, looking uncertain and feeling as though they didn’t know where to start. New to the country, new to the system, left to cope with everything on their own. I helped as best I could – but I realised: these people need someone who really takes the time for them. Someone who takes them by the hand before they even reach the counter.

That’s exactly what I am.

My background

I completed my apprenticeship at a local council, finished my BMS qualification, lived in Australia for a year and then worked in the residents’ registration office of a large city. I have now moved to a smaller one. I know the administrative processes not from a textbook – but from real-life experience.

I speak German and English.
